Guitarist and multi-instrumentalist John Marc Bimonte wrote both the music and lyrics, arranged, engineered and produced this work over the course of six months. He reconnected in early 2017 with singer Marianne Potje of Chicago’s Pulsars and Doorika experimental theater via social media.

As Potje arranged and composed both the lead & background vocals to Bimonte’s songs, friends began comparing the music to Bruce Cockburn, Fairport Convention, Fleetwood Mac, and Kate Bush. That's when then knew this plan was so crazy that it just might work!

Their debut album The Disenchanted Land  explores themes of finding joy and peace while navigating a landscape of impermanence and struggle. Bimonte is also a historian, visual artist and animator, bringing a meditative eye and rhythmic fluidity to the music videos, incorporating both original and historical footage.

Two additional music videos for Cannonball River and the Majestic Recluse are planned for release with the album in the fall. Currently the duo collaborates long-distance between Colorado and California, with Potje planning to return to Chicago in the spring. While the two musicians have not seen each other in person for 25 years, they plan to play live shows in California, Texas, Arkansas, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Chicago, Nashville, NYC, and Boston in late 2017.
